Gaztelugatxe is a small island off the coast of the Bay of Biscay in the Basque Country of Spain. It is connected to the shore by a man-made bridge. On the island stands a hermitage (named Gaztelugatxeko Doniene in Basque; San Juan de Gaztelugatxe in Spanish), dedicated to Saint John the Baptist, that dates from the 10th century. This location was used in the Game of Thrones TV series.
